Starlux Laser Hair Removal

What body areas can I get treated?

Any area, except directly around the eyes. The face, neck, chest, arms, hands, legs, etc. can all be treated quickly and safely.

What are treatment sessions like?

Quick and easy! After your initial preparation, your treatment provider will move the wand like handpiece over your skin. The handpiece emits a light that disables the hair follicles. Most people perceive the light as a gentle"snapping" sensation. Once this is completed, any loose hair will be wiped away from your skin and you're ready to go.

What should I expect after treatment?

Most people experience some mild redness and tenderness in the treated area shortly after treatment. This does not interfere with normal activities and usually subside within a day. In some cases, the redness may last longer, but will still be mild and temporary. We can explain other, less likely side effects during your consultation.

What is the difference between Starlux pulsed light and laser treatments?

Pulsed light systems and lasers are very similar and remove hair in basically the same way. However, the Palomar Starlux uses a new technology that removes up to 10 times faster than lasers. Starlux pulsed-light treatments can fit even the busiest person's schedule.

Elos Laser Hair Removal

How does hair removal with elos work?
elos (electro-optical synergy) uses a unique combination of radio frequency and light to isolate the treatment area and leave the surrounding skin free from potentially harmful side effects. Using gentle pulses of two targeted energies means better results with lower overall energy output — assuring the highest level of safety and comfort. Other systems using only one energy source can’t compare.

Is hair removal with elos right for me?
Permanent hair reduction can be achieved for both men and women, and almost all body areas can be treated. Only elos is proven to remove lighter colored hair, on all skin tones.

When can I expect to see results?
Hair growth is reduced with each treatment. Sometimes it takes a couple treatments for you to see the difference. The total number of treatments required is based on your hair color and type, body area, and skin tone. During your initial consultation, your medical practitioner will personalize your treatment schedule for maximum results.

Does it hurt?
Individual experience varies, but most people only feel a slight sensation like tiny pin pricks, or rubber band snaps. For your added safety and peace of mind, elos technology features an advanced patient comfort system, which monitors your skin and keeps it at a soothing cool temperature during the procedure.

Treatment with elos is easy. There’s no surgery, no sedation, and no downtime. And most procedures take 30 minutes or less.

How much does it cost?
Treatment costs vary. Your medical practitioner will go over these details with you during your initial consultation.
